  5. Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee Election of Officers: Committee members will nominate and vote to elect the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair to the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee for the term July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
  6. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1, 2024 September 30, 2025) 2025 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staff will provide an update on the draft 2025 UPWP, which is currently out for public comment. Committee members may ask questions and vote to recommend the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization endorse the 2025 UPWP. The UPWP summarizes all significant transportation activities planned for the fiscal year on Cape Cod.
  7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 September 30) 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: Staff will provide updates on the draft 2025-2029 TIP, which is currently out for public comment, and discuss updated project cost estimates for the Dennis-Harwich Route 28 Reconstruction project and Provincetown Route 6/Shank Painter Road project. Committee members may ask questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization on a revised list of proposed projects for inclusion in the 2025-2029 TIP. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
  8. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 September 30) 2024-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development Amendment # 3: Staff will review, and Committee members will consider public comments on and may vote to recommend that the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization endorse the 2024-2028 TIP draft Amendment # 3, which would increase the funding to match updated cost estimates for the Mashpee Route 151 Improvements (Phase 2) project and the Yarmouth-Barnstable Cape Cod Rail Trail Extension (Phase 3) project.
  9. Cape Cod Vision Zero Safety Action Plan: Staff will provide an update on the Vision Zero Safety Action Plan project and the development of the Vision Zero advisory committee. The Vision Zero Safety Action Plan project will develop a comprehensive safety action plan to reduce and eliminate serious-injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes affecting all roadway users on Cape Cod.
  10. Cape Cod Shared Use Path Crossing Regional Inventory: Staff will give a presentation on the Shared Use Path Crossing Inventory project, which summarizes the location, condition and recommended actions for shared use path crossings along roadways across Cape Cod.
  11. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  12. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
