  5. Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee Election of Officers: Committee members will nominate and vote to elect the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair to the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee for the term July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
  6. Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Design Funding: Staff from MassDOT and the Boston Metropolitan Planning Organization will present background information and their experience with programming TIP funds towards the engineering design of a priority project. Members may ask questions and discuss the potential to program regional TIP funds towards a design project in the future.
  7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: Staff will review the process for developing the 2026-2030 TIP. Committee members may ask staff questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization to release the draft 2026-2030 TIP for a 14-day public comment period. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
  8. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2026 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staffwill describe the process for developing the 2026 UPWP, which summarizes all significant transportation activities planned for the fiscal year on Cape Cod. Committee members may ask questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization to release the draft 2026 UPWP for a 14-day public comment period.
  9. Cape Cod Vision Zero Safety Action Plan: Staff will provide an update on the development of the Vision Zero Safety Action Plan, a comprehensive safety action plan to reduce and eliminate serious-injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes affecting all roadway users on Cape Cod. Staff will also provide an overview of the Safe Streets and Roads for All Discretionary Grant Program. Committee members may discuss the potential for local and regional grant applications.
  10. Route 6A Corridor Study: Staff will provide an update on the Route 6A Regional Corridor Study and seek member feedback on the draft outreach engagement plan and schedule.
  11. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  12. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
