NEW: Join us at a Public Meeting
The next round of public meetings will focus on presenting the draft list of actions, projects and strategies to address the region's most problematic roadways and intersections. The presentation will highlight the region's High Injury and High Risk road network and seek public feedback on the potential short to long term improvements to help Cape Cod reduce all serious injury and fatal crashes to zero. One virtual and three in-person meetings are scheduled, listed to the right.
Overview
Vision Zero is an effort to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Cape Cod's roadways. The Cape Cod Vision Zero Action Plan, a pathway to a safer future, will include a systematic crash analysis and set of solutions to tackle the root causes of all crashes, emphasizing those involving bicyclists, pedestrians, and other non-motorists. The Cape Cod Commission is developing the Vision Zero Action Plan for Cape Cod through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program, an initiative designed to improve road safety and address traffic fatalities nationwide.
