Cape Cod Commission staffing update: A promotion and two new staff members  

Jordan Velozo has been promoted to the position of Chief Regulatory Officer.  Jordan, who joined the Cape Cod Commission as a Regulatory Planner in July 2019, is a graduate of Northeastern Law School and a member of the Massachusetts Bar. Immediately following law school, Jordan brought her strong interest in public policy to the State House where she worked as Legislative Director and General Counsel for the Massachusetts State Senator Julian Cyr. There, she drafted legislation to address unique issues facing Cape Cod including housing attainability, coastal resiliency, and water quality. 

Kathleen Mason is the Cape Cod Commission’s newest Water Resources Analyst.  She holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Colby College and a Master of Environmental Management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. Kathleen has experience in water quality monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and land conservation planning from her time with the Association to Preserve Cape Cod and Highstead Foundation, as well as federal and state policy and regulation tracking with American Rivers. 

Evan Moorman joins the Commission staff as a Transportation Planner.  After studying urban planning at the University of California, Los Angeles, he worked in traffic safety, bike and pedestrian planning, and land use planning in Madison, Wisconsin, and Toronto, Canada.  A newcomer to New England, he looks forward to learning about Cape Cod’s diverse landscapes and communities and working to improve its transportation network.
