Municipal Grant Opportunities Available
The MassDOT Shared Winter Streets and Spaces Grant Program is focused on supporting communities during the next several months, when the need for physical distancing poses challenges. The program will invest in cities and towns to facilitate outdoor activities and winter programming by creating safe spaces for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bicycle, eat, shop, play, and enjoy community events. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, and decisions will be made in four rounds. Project completion and spending deadline for all four rounds is May 31, 2021.
The Cape Cod Commission Bike Rack Program provides municipalities and other eligible public entities the opportunity to install bicycle racks and related infrastructure (e.g., repair stations and shelters) on public property at a reduced cost. The program provides full reimbursement for eligible equipment; installation and shipping costs are borne by eligible applicants. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and awards are first come, first served while funding remains. All equipment must be installed and reimbursement invoices must be received by June 30, 2021.
