Project Update: Route 28, Cotuit

The final public meeting for the Route 28, Cotuit corridor project was held Oct. Nov. 2 at Freedom Hall in Cotuit.

Alternatives developed from the initial meeting in June 2016 and Commission analysis will be presented for feedback and further suggestions.

The purpose of the study is to develop alternatives that will provide safe and convenient access within the study area for all users of the roadway system including pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and motorists.

Input from the Nov. 2 meeting will be used to revise concepts with a final report targeted for 9December. From there, the Commission will work with Town of Barnstable and MassDOT to implement short-term recommendations and plan for long-term changes. Each of these steps would include opportunities for further public comment.
