35 Scudder Residential Community (CCC File No. 20065)
35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis

The Commission acted favorably in February 2021 on a Notice of Intent (NOI) for a Development Agreement submitted by applicant LMC. The NOI is in relation to a proposal to redevelop the site of the Twin Brooks golf course with a new multifamily residential community that includes 312 rental homes in 13 buildings. The Cape Cod Commission deemed the applicant's Development Agreement Application complete, and subcommittee hearings will soon be scheduled.

Modification to Wilkens Campus Development Agreement (CCC File No. 02014)
Wilkens Lane, Hyannis

The Commission acted favorably in October 2020 on a Notice of Intent (NOI) submitted by applicants Cape Cod Healthcare and New England Development for a modification to a Development Agreement entered into by and between the Cape Cod Commission and Cape Cod Healthcare for property off Wilkens Lane in Hyannis. The Cape Cod Commission deemed the applicant's Development Agreement Application complete, and the first subcommittee hearing will be held on March 1, 2022.

Horton’s Campground and North Truro Camping Area (CCC File No. 21010)
Old Dewline Road and South Highland Road, Truro

The Commission received a mandatory Development of Regional Impact (DRI) referral from the Town of Truro on August 23, 2021 for a proposed division of land totaling 38.64 acres in common ownership. A DRI Exemption application was submitted on November 12, 2021. During its February 10, 2022 meeting, the Commission’s Committee on Planning and Regulation voted to direct staff to draft a Decision approving the DRI Exemption for recommendation to the full Cape Cod Commission. The full Commission will hold a continued hearing on the DRI Exemption on February 24, 2022.

Falmouth Rd Market Mashpee (CCC File No. 21015)
647 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Mashpee

The Commission received a mandatory Development of Regional Impact (DRI) referral from the Town of Mashpee on January 12, 2022 for a proposed 12,620-sqft specialty grocery store on an approximately 4-acre site. The Project was previously submitted and withdrawn in 2021 to enable the Applicant to complete a DRI Application. A complete DRI Application has not yet been submitted and no hearings have been scheduled.

New England Wind Connector (CCC File No. 20053)
Barnstable

The Commission received the Certificate on the Project’s Final Environmental Impact Report on January 28, 2022. The Project, which will be reviewed as a Development of Regional Impact (DRI), proposes to deliver power generated by a large-scale renewable wind energy generation facility within the federally designated Wind Energy Area to the New England energy grid via offshore export cables from and onshore underground cables to a new substation in Barnstable and ultimately to an interconnection point at Eversource’s existing West Barnstable Substation. A DRI Application has not yet been submitted and no hearings have been scheduled.
