Resilient Cape Cod: Project Overview
An easy-to-use interactive webpage was developed by Commission staff to provide the public with information on the Resilient Cape Cod project.
The Commission and its partners – The Association to Preserve Cape Cod, the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, and the Town of Barnstable – are developing a planning tool and public outreach program to research the environmental and socio-economic effects of local and regional coastal resiliency strategies.
The new webpage includes:
- Information on threats to Cape Cod: sea level rise, erosion, flooding and storm surge
- Case studies of vulnerable areas on Cape Cod
- Information on Adaptation Strategies
- Decision Support Tool: information on the tool being developed to assist in coastal management
The page also includes information on project partners, supporting agencies, project committees, and the stakeholder process.
