The Transportation and Climate Initiative: Clean Transportation for Rural Communities
Online event to discuss reducing carbon emissions in the transportation sector
On Tuesday, November 10th, the Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI) is holding an online event to bring rural communities in Massachusetts together to discuss reducing carbon emissions.
The Cape Cod Commission’s inventory of greenhouse gas emissions indicates that the transportation sector is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions in our region.
“Rural communities face unique transportation challenges,” says Steven Tupper, Cape Cod Commission Transportation Program Manager. “This forum will bring the rural community's perspective to the discussion of what a better, cleaner, more equitable transportation future looks like.”
The TCI is a multi-state compact to reduce carbon emissions and invest in better, cleaner, more equitable transportation.
The virtual forum is for anyone who cares about clean transportation in rural Massachusetts communities, including residents, businesses, community leaders, transportation and environmental advocates, community organizations, and local elected officials.
The event takes place Tuesday, November 10th, 7:00 PM on Zoom.
