Yarmouth moves forward with new reporting tool
The Town of Yarmouth has a new application intended to optimize the management and communication of its strategic plan. The application, powered by Envisio’s Strategy Management, provides the Town with a tool to coordinate and track work across the entire organization, streamlining the way project information, updates, and progress is shared with staff, elected boards, and the public.
“The Envisio application provides the Town with a central platform to catalogue our everyday work and then share that work and our progress with a broad audience,” said Chris Dwelley, the Town’s Assistant Town Administrator. “This will enable us to not only communicate and collaborate better internally, but also provides us with a public-facing dashboard so our residents and the public can follow along on our progress of achieving town goals.”
Funding for this project is provided by the Department of Housing and Community Development’s District Local Technical Assistance program through the Cape Cod Commission .
“We are pleased to partner with the Town of Yarmouth in deploying the Envisio application,” Commission Executive Director Kristy Senatori said. “Creating municipal efficiencies is a key mission of the Commission’s Strategic Information Office and we commend the Town of Yarmouth’s continuous leadership in digital regionalization efforts.”
The Commission has worked closely with Yarmouth on projects intended to increase access to information for both the public and town staff. Yarmouth has been a partner on the Commission’s online permitting (Accela), financial reporting (OpenGov) and zoning portal (Open Counter) initiatives.
All Yarmouth departments are using the application and the Town plans to release a public version in early 2019. Information through Enviso is already used to provide updates for the Yarmouth Board of Selectmen. A mid-year update on the board’s priorities was presented at a recent meeting.
