- MassDOT Speed Limit Zoning and Advisory Speed Limits: Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) staff will present an overview of the procedures and regulations associated with speed zoning in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The presentation will also include an overview of Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 90, Section 17C for designating a 25 miles per hour (mph) speed limit within thickly settled or business districts.
- MassDOT Municipal Grant Programs: MassDOT staff will provide an overview of the available grant programs for municipalities, including Shared Streets and Spaces, Bottleneck Intersections, Complete Streets and more.
- Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Evaluation Criteria: Staff will provide an overview of the current Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) evaluation criteria and discuss the potential for revisions to the criteria based on the recently endorsed 2024 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP).
- Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Design Funds: Staff will provide an update on new guidance that allows for the potential opportunity for design costs to be programmed as part of the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
- Electric Vehicle Chargers: Staff will update members on current grant opportunities associated with electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
- Reports: MassDOT staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
- New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
