  4. Public Comment
  5. Member Welcome: Staff will welcome new and returning Committee members and provide a brief overview of the role of the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization in transportation planning and funding decisions for the Cape Cod region.
  6. Cape Cod Canal Bridges Program: Staff will provide an update on the status of the Cape Cod Canal Bridges Program, a program that will include the eventual replacement of the Bourne and Sagamore bridges, as well as improvements to the approach roadway networks.
  7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 September 30) 2024-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment # 1:  Staff will describe the 2024-2028 TIP draft Amendment 1, which would revise the listing of Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority planned projects, add a Steamship Authority Woods Hole Terminal Solar Power Project, and add a Community Transit planning grant that was awarded to Outer Cape Community Solutions. Committee members may vote to release the 2024-2028 TIP draft Amendment 1 for a 21-day public comment period.
  8. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1– September 30) 2025 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staff will provide an overview of the development of the 2025 UPWP which summarizes all significant transportation planning activities for that year on Cape Cod. Committee members may ask questions and suggest potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2025 UPWP.
  9. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 September 30) 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: As part of the development of the 2025-2029 TIP, Staff will present an overview of the projects that are currently programmed on the 2024-2028 TIP, and an overview of projects that are eligible to be programmed onto the 2025-2029 TIP. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
  10. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  11. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
