- Sub-region B Representative Election: Staff will describe and Committee membersmay vote whether to approve a process for an election for the vacant Sub-region B (Towns of Yarmouth and Dennis) Representative seat to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization for the term beginning the date of election through December 31, 2026. If the election process is approved, the election to fill the Sub-region B representative will be held at the March 24, 2025 Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization meeting.
- Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 – September 30) 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment # 3: Staff will review, and Committee members may vote to release for public comment, draft Amendment # 3 to the TIP which would add a local Safe Streets for All planning grant to the TIP for analysis of high-crash locations in the Town of Barnstable, MA.
- Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (“RAISE”) Grant Support Letter: Staff will provide an overview of a potential RAISE grant application for the Yarmouth Route 28 Corridor Improvement project that Staff are assisting the Town of Yarmouth prepare. Committee members will discuss and may vote whether to submit a letter of support for the application.
- Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Statewide Resilience Improvement Plan – Solicitation of Projects: Staff will present the final list of regional roadway resiliency projects submitted to MassDOT for inclusion in the Massachusetts Statewide Resilience Improvement Plan, a plan to ensure the state can withstand, recover from, adapt to, and mitigate natural hazard events.
- Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation Program (“PROTECT”) Grant: Staff will provide an update on two potential federal PROTECT grants for the Cape Cod region that would be submitted by the Cape Cod Commission for planning and design for vulnerable municipal and state-owned roadway segments throughout the region. Committee members will discuss and may vote whether to submit a letter of support for the application.
- Calendar Year 2025 Safety Performance Measure Targets: Staff will describe, and the Committee may vote to adopt, statewide MassDOT safety performance targets related to the number and rate of motorist and non-motorists of fatal and serious injury crashes for calendar year 2025.
- Cape Cod Vision Zero Safety Action Plan: Staff will provide an update on the Vision Zero Safety Action Plan project. Committee members will discuss and may vote to adopt a Vision Zero goal with a target date for the elimination of fatal and serious injury crashes affecting all roadway users on Cape Cod.
- Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: As part of the development of the 2026-2030 TIP, Staff will present an overview of the projects that are currently programmed on the 2025-2029 TIP, and an overview of projects that are eligible to be programmed onto the 2026-2030 TIP. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five fiscal years.
- Reports: MassDOT staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
- New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
