Planning for the Future Transportation Needs of Cape Cod

In accordance with the Public Participation Plan, the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has released the following documents for a 21-day public review and comment period. Members of the public are invited to review these documents and provide comments.

The UPWP describes all significant transportation planning activities planned on Cape Cod over the twelve (12) month period from October 2024 through September 2025. The TIP serves as a prioritized listing of roadway, bridge, and transit projects proposed for implementation during the next five (5) federal fiscal years. FFY 2024-2028 TIP Draft Amendment 3 would increase the funding to match updated cost estimates for the Mashpee Route 151 Corridor Improvement (Phase 2) project and the Cape Cod Rail Trail Extension (Phase III) project in Yarmouth and Barnstable.

Public comment opportunities for these plans will be held on the following dates:

April 29, 2024: Virtual public meeting, 6:00 PM
April 24, 2024: Outreach table, in front of Provincetown Town Hall, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
May 2, 2024: Outreach table along the Old Colony Rail Trail at Brooks Park in Harwich, 9:00 –11:00 AM
May 7, 2024: Outreach table at the Cape Cod Rail Trail Station Ave parking lot in Yarmouth, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
